This TaPRA-funded event is organised by the TaPRA Working Group Convenors in collaboration with the IFTR Scenography Working Group.

The TaPRA Scenography Working Group would like to invite current and prospective TaPRA members to join us for an interim event: Glitch, Bodies and Scenography at Rose Bruford College on Friday 12 April between 10am and 5pm. The event will take place in the Digital Studio at Rose Bruford, with the second half of the day given over to a whole-group workshop exploring the possibilities of motion capture. The morning session will be a hybrid in-person and online session. 

We would like to dedicate the morning to contributions from our membership which speak to the combined themes of Glitch, Bodies and Scenography, and to that end we invite proposals for sharings or provocations of no more than ten minutes. Please send a 100-150 word proposal to scenography@tapra.org no later than Monday March 8th. 

This event is for TaPRA members only. If you are not currently a member and wish to attend, you can join here: http://tapra.org/join-tapra/. Membership costs £18 (£10 concession) and will run until 11 September 2024, regardless of when you join.

To support access to participation in this event, we have allocated funds for a number of PGR bursaries to cover travel and/or any other required access costs. Should you wish to be considered for such a bursary, please include a statement of up to 100 words explaining why you are applying for the bursary and a brief outline of any expenses/access needs for which you would like to apply to the discretionary fund, including what they are and costs.

 The Working Group Convenors will award bursaries based on:

• The quality and strength of the submitted proposal.
• The significance of the applicant’s contribution to the WG event (connection to advertised theme, methodological approach, expected outcomes).
• The extent to which the applicant will benefit from attending.
• The financial need that might otherwise impede participation.
