EASTAP conference in Paris,  25-27 October 2018

We proudly announce the first conference of the newly created European Association for the Studies of Theatre and Performance

Dear colleagues ,
We have the great pleasure of announcing  the programme for the First EASTAP conference which will take place from 25-27 October 2108 at the  Théâtre de la Cité in Paris. The programme, along with the abstracts and bios of speakers, is now available on the EASTAP website (https://www.eastap.com/2018/06/09/eastap-first-conference-in-paris-october-25-27-2018-2-3/
Around 150 participants from twenty countries will attend, as well as our invited artists, notably the conference’s associate artist Milo Rau as well as Daria Deflorian et Antonio Tagliarini, Joris Lacoste, Claudio Longhi, Phia Menard, Serge Rangoni, Tiago Rodrigues, Imanuel Schipper (Rimini Protokoll), Camille de Toledo, Gabriele Vacis, Frank Vercruyssen from tgSTAN,  Arkadi Zaides.
There will also be a Critical Observatory, to which students are invited to participate.
Two Masterclass are also programmed, with Daria Deflorian and Antonio Tagliarini, whose show Quasi Niente is programmed in the Festival d’Automne at the Théâtre  de la Bastille  (the workshop will take place on 26 October from 10 :00 to 14 :00). Registration is mandatory and limited to 20 participants.
A second Masterclass with Imanuel Schipper, dramaturg
for Rimini Protokoll  is scheduled on 26 October from 14:30 to 16:30.
Registration is not necessary.
Two new formats will also be rolled out : a Boiler Room with Mélanie Perrier  and a meta-slam with Jérôme Cabot.
Tickets for Quasi Niente by Daria Deflorian and Antonio Tagliarini have been reserved for participants who would like to attend on Friday 26 October at a price of 15 euros (tel : 01 43 57 42 14, 76 Rue de la Roquette, 75011 Paris).
