Abstract submission for #IFTR2021 is now live. https://www.cambridge.org/core/membership/iftr/conference
We are pleased to confirm that abstract submission is now live. As previously advised, the submission form will allow you to state whether your abstract is a resubmission of an accepted paper for the 2020 call or is a new submission.
We kindly ask Working Group Convenors to inform your groups of whether you will be running the session and papers you had planned for 2020, or whether you are issuing a new call. If the latter, please issue a call as soon as possible for group members to consider new papers/abstracts.
Ahead of us all lies another year of uncertainty due to the pandemic. In re/opening the submission process for abstracts we are starting out with the intention for Galway 2021 to be hosted as a live event. However, we shall necessarily have to keep this under constant review.
Our Galway hosts and members of IFTR’s Executive Committee will be working together through the planning process and considering contingency arrangements. The likelihood is that we shall review the outlook for the conference in relation to Covid 19 immediately after the closure of abstract submissions (early February) with a view to deciding then on whether we might be looking at a blended conference model, or moving all activities online.
Wish best wishes to all,
President of IFTR
