Free University Berlin invites the members of the International Federation for Theatre Research to the international online event series: " Theatre During the Pandemic: Temporal Communities and Digitality" of the Free University Berlin. In three online events theatre directors, theatre artists and scholars from Brazil, Japan, Poland and will report on the practical effects on theatre operations and their work. They will examine the various strategies with which stage and theater creators have reacted to this situation, online and offline. Together with researchers from the Cluster of Excellence “Temporal Communities – Doing Literature in a Global Perspective”, they will discuss how the global crisis of the theater has created new temporal communities and to what extent these are created under the conditions of digitality. The next event is on Friday, 08 January 2021, a panel about the situation in Poland with Grzegorz Jarzyna, Artistic director of TR Warszawa, and Anna Lewanowicz, Head of International Development at STUDIO teatrgaleria in Warsaw. The discussion will be moderated by theatre scholar Prof. Dr. Doris Kolesch. The start is 6 pm.
The event will be delivered via the Cisco Webex video service.
