CALL FOR PAPERS - African and Caribbean Theatre and Performance Working Group - 8-12 July 2019
19 December, 2018 by Carla Springer | 0 comments
"Theatre, Performance and Urbanism: New Paradigms, Reflecting on the Past, Projecting to the Future"
The IFTR African and Caribbean Theatre and Performance Working Group will be meeting during the IFTR conference. The theme chosen by the working group, “ represents an expansion on the general IFTR conference theme. It is cognizant of the fact that the reality of the experience of urbanism for many individuals, in Africa, the Caribbean and their Diasporas, often involves not just local or regional travel but more often than not international travel and a resultant, often radical, change in environment. The theme is therefore concerned with that which informs theatre and performance in Africa, in the Caribbean and in their respective Diasporas in our contemporary world.
